Tangy Red Cabbage and Apple Slaw

Ingredients


  • 1/2 head Red cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1-2 Carrots, grated
  • 3 Apples, mixed variety
  • 1/4 tsp. Salt
  • 1/4 cup Vinegar (white balsamic or apple cider)
  • 1/4 cup Vegetable oil
  • To taste Sugar

Directions


  • STEP 1

    Cut cabbage in half and core. Thinly slice one half. Grate carrots. Cut apples by removing pole ends first, then cutting a square to remove the core. Create matchsticks from the rest of the apple.

  • STEP 2

    Toss together with oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. Can be made a day ahead or served immediately.
